Midi Mode

If you have been an avid reader of my blog, you must've known my love for Japan, and also midi length skirts, right? Since the early start of my blog, boy did I wear these skirts often. It's just those days when you feel like wearing a skirt, but dread the fact that sometimes it's just too long and might sweep the floor as you wear one. So that's when I'll opt for midi length skirts :) Plus, I secretly sometimes wish to wear leggings, so I found out that you can't go wrong with midi length skirts paired with a legging. Back to Japan, I have always awed in admiration at their streetstyle fashion! And it still does until today. I love asymmetrical hems, exaggerated layers of clothes, ankle booties just like they do! Most of the styles these Japanese peeps wear are fresh and usually relatable to modest clothing-perfect for us hijabis I must say!

So here are some of the streetstyle shots taken from a Japanese streetstyle fashion site(that I just can't stop scanning at!)

Notice how I used the word 'streetstyle' and 'skirts' so repeatedly? Feel like slapping myself after reading what I wrote. LOL.

So as I browsed through The Poplook's site for my April dose of The Poplook, I can see that they have a lot of midi length dresses! My itchy fingers just had to had one, so I got myself this:

The Poplook Red Chiffon Dress / Uniqlo leggings / Vintage red bag / Forever21 booties and eyelet cardigan / unbranded clincher

Perfect for a sunny Malaysia! The crumpled chiffon goes well with my body type, which I have alwayssss been so insecure about. Hehe.

This is my way of showing how I support Japan for it's creativity and positive attitude towards life. You know how the Japanese are, right? :)

Here's to Japan.
