Hana's Tea Party - My Amethyst

Hana's Tea Party - My Amethyst
So yesterday, me, Yanny, Maria, Jezmine, Fira, Lyna, Aimie, Sha, Moon, Sue Anna Joe, Eyqa, Ami, Emmy, Yana, Fatin Alwani and Aishah Amin were invited to Hana's dainty Tea Party! It was held in Damansara and yes, all of us were truly surprised to receive the invitation two weeks prior! It was a closed event where we actually get to meet Hana up close and personal. And my, my, Hana is sweeter than cotton candy! She's delicately humble and a very soft-spoken lady I must say :)

I wore this:

We had so much fun eating meringues, cupcakes and mini popias while tea was served. It's truly an english tea party! Maria just had to speak in her brit accent, while me, I just chipped in where I could, for am no british english speaking gal. American slang is the best! LOL. So indeed we had an amazing evening, as we talked, snapped piccas, played games and let's not forget-shop Maysaa! :D

I got myself the Jersey Satin Hoodie while the other girls got their own Maysaa's too. Am one happy gal!

And lastly....
Hana's Tea Party - My AmethystI am beyond words. Hana even surprised Jezmine and me with a birthday gift, a Hana original, sketch of both of us. It really got me teary eyed you know. I mean, a beautiful sketch drawn by Hana herself? What's not to cry about?? Thank you soooo much Hana, you're such an angel :')

DIAN PELANGI IN MALAYSIA

This is a very very special post that I dedicate it to Dian Pelangi, Indonesia's talented young fashion designer! Goshhh, I have been an avid follower of her blog and eclectic personal sense of style for like ages! So when Dian told us that she would love to meet us, The Scarflets, I jumped in joy!! XD

*1st Day*

Dian Pelangi Boutique soft launch, where we were invited to witness the opening of Dian Pelangi's new boutique in Malaysia! My God, her collections screams COLORS!! Suddenly I felt so outta place wearing these monotone pieces..nyehehe.. Ok, ok, less talking, more piccas please!

Ooh, and the Dian Pelangi Malaysia boutique is at:
17-2 (2nd floor)
Jalan Telawi 2,
Bangsar Baru, KL.

Outfit: Calaqisya oversized cropped top // The Poplook Slinky polka pants // Vincci+ heels // Furla candy bag

*2nd Day*

So on the second day, was where we spent more intimate time together between The Scarflets, Dian Pelangi & Wardah cosmetics representative. We gathered at Chinoz on the Park restaurant in KLCC, and had late lunch/tea. The food was amazing by the way. So we talked and talked, shared stories and common interests, and also Dian told us about the Indonesian Hijabers Community. That's when crybaby me began to feel so amazed with the effort that they put into contributing to their country, with so much passion, style, and most importantly pure intentions which is to create an awareness about how fun it is to put on a piece of scarf on your head, as a part of obeying Allah's orders. Seriously, a pool of tears puddled in my eyes! TRULY AMAZED!! You can witness yourself, via the blog I've linked above. Oh btw, Hello Hijabers from Indonesia!! We, Malaysians loveee you! Hope to see you soon, insyaAllah!! XD

On this day I decided to do a bit of print-clashing (I call it) haha. Suddenly misses doing so :p :p

Outfit: Jaspal printed bow top // The Poplook Clara chiffon skirt // Mom's Louis Vouitton Vernis Alma // Pastelina scarf // Jaspal jelly flats

See what I mean? I got so excited with the meet up with Dian this weekend, look at how I made this collage of pictures! Ngeee! I was surprised too that Dian Pelangi knows meeee!! Gahhhh!! To all her fans, lemme tell you something, Dian is super duper friendly and is a total sweetheart and a bombshell! I was supposed to be nervous meeting a famous talented designer, aite? But I didn't! Her warmth and friendliness was exuded right at the moment we met on the first day. Oh Dian, we miss you already!! :'(

Pics awayyyy!

All the best to Dian Pelangi, may our friendship remain forever, and see you again soon! InsyaAllah :D

REFLECTION 2012

Alhamdulillah, the event went smoothly as ever! It was a such an amazing experience and such an honour that Pastelina was invited to join in. Albeit the bad timing it was for me, due to my exam week, so far I did manage my time well in juggling between the preparations for Reflection and my assessments assignments. And yes, that includes no sleep for me. I could barely open my eyes after the event was done. Ngeee. So those you came have seen and bought some of Pastelina's new collection! Toche toche!! :D Can't wait to have a photoshoot of them pieces sometime next week--with your favorite blogger in town..jeng jeng jeng..

Picspam, enjoy! :)

My outfit: Mango shirtv// Skirt I made myself // Kiss & Tell platform pumps // Heart clincher bought overseas

Iqa's outfit: CottonLove by Pastelina tee // TEMT skirt // wedges (gift from me haha)

*SOME PICS FROM THE EVENT*

Bucketloads of THANK YOU to Ammara Hijabi, and Tengku Rinanda for organising such a beneficial event for charity! I sincerely hope we get to do these again some other time! :)

P/s: I was waving to someone in my outfit pic above :p

Adriani's wedding, and My lil Raya Party

Assalam, and a very happy late Monday sweetums.

Many of you might have noticed that yes, it was Adriani's wedding last weekend! Yesss, my baby Yanny!! Gosh, can you imagine the amount of excitement I went through to see her on her big day? I witnessed and knew the hardships she had to go through before the wedding, all I can say is, everything turned out unbelievably breathtakingly divine! I salute you, Yanny, for doing everything in such a graceful manner. Speaking of grace, isn't Adriani the next Malaysia's Grace Kelly?? Her wedding dress, speaks everything, right? I mean, a beautiful lady, in a beautiful wedding dress, what more could a girl wish for on her wedding day? Oh, a loving husband of course. Hihi...

To Adriani and Yus, I wish you both the very best of marriage life. I'll pray so that the journey that you both will go through will be smooth sailing and blessed in every step of the way. You both are the nicest people I have ever met, and you guys really do belong with each other (chewahhh :P) May you'll be blessed with healthy, beautiful and soleh babies and bring them to see me always!! :PP

"There is no more lovely, friendly and charming relationship, communion or company than a good marriage."
~Martin Luther

The fun didn't end there, and yes, that includes the exhaustion I felt too. As the very next day, there's a lil Raya Party at my house and I invited some of my closest friends to attend too. Thank you all for coming and hoped you guys had a great time (I know you guys did! :P) I've never hosted anything for my friends, so this was exactly my first time planning, preparing and setting up everything from scratch. That's why it's just a mini party..hehe.. Maybe next year I should host a bigger party, aite?

That's how I spent my weekend! Toodles!

An old memoria..

Mango checkered shirt / Supre maxi skirt / Vintage bag

Hey ya'lls. It's been long since I last wore my geek glasses eh? Don't know what got into me yesterday, but I decided to put it back on and enjoy my time at Wondermilk's newly opened branch at Citta Mall, Ara Damansara. I decided to wear as casual as I could, and apparently brought out the cowgirl in me. Hah. Doesn't make any sense.

Oh btw, here's a song that's currently on repeat on my ipod. It's a cover of Nirvana's Come As You Are by Yuna. Try listening it out, you might love it the way I did. It's more subtle and ardent than of Nirvanas. If Yuna sang all of Nirvana's songs, I think I might learn to slowly like Nirvana, maybe? Hehe..
