We hadn't had any weekends together with the hubster for months... or even nights for that matter... due to his work schedule. Alhamdulillah we had this weekend to ourselves.... even though we slept most of Saturday LOL, Sunday was a fine day out...
Hubby was bored so he said let's go out to a nearby lake. Oh and I must add that the weather was awesome mashaallah!
So out we went in the afternoon. I got some sunflower seeds with me (we Turks love clickety cracking the seeds like birds going wild) along with a bottle of drink... nothing more...
We sat for a couple hours... enjoyed the views... the sun... the sunflower seeds... :)))) There were huge groups havng their community BBQs and get togethers. It started getting a little cool so we took off. We were meant to be going to the Arab Melbourne Eid Festival BUT we turned back from the entrance... It turns out that the entry fee was $10 per person! I was pissed off and could not believe it, so we left. I hope the Turkish Eid Festival entry fee next weekend is not as highly priced! I just can't imagine how much money (MINIMUM) a family of four would spend if they spent so much at entry?!! The food? The rides? Any shopping? Gee whiz! What has the world come to...
Anyhow, it was still a good Sunday. :))
As I had mentioned in a previous post, I am only used to wearing the square scarves the Turkish way... I feel weird wearing the rectangles, but when I saw this Fendi replica in China, I just wanted to have it... Nothing special.. I just like the way it looks and the way the colours mesh :)) The sunnies are also from China... they are supposed to be Roberto Cavalli, but now we all know (thanks to me LOL) that they really aren't :) Next I will show you my original Burberry sunnies... purchased from a Burberry store... but seriously... No bloody difference except the price tag!
Check out the background... So nice and peaceful... We were also able to spot some kangaroos sunbaking on the other side of the lake... you can't see them since the photo was taken with my iphone... the Nikon gets a little heavy to take everywhere...
A sweet Sunday moment deserves a sweet shot with the hubster... he can be sooooooooooooooooo damn annoying (like all other men), but ahhh... :)))
