I don't know if this is something specific to Turkish women or if it's practiced by women of other cultures too, but Turkish women have get togethers called "Day".
These days are either once a week/fornight/month. It's a day to get together and dine as well as save money. The women designate an amount, and everyone who wants to participate pays that amount of money every designated DAY. Then they pull names from a hat kinda thing at the beginning ---- before the first installment is paid. So a list of names is formed in accordance with the order the names are pulled.
So on the first get together, the first name invites everyone to her own house on the designated day, and everyone gives their share of the money to the host. Then the next designated day, the same amount of money is given to the second name on the list while she hosts the second get together.
My sis and mum are a part of one of these days. There payment is $200/fortnight. Since they have a lot of women at their day, the collected amount is something a little over $5000. So it's like halal credit... interest free. :))) You get the money on your turn, and pay it off in installments on each day. So yeah, those who are unable to save money, do so in this way. My mum usually uses her share to go on her Turkey holiday every year. Good idea ha? :)
So yeah it was one of those days, and took mum and attended too as the host was a mutual friend. Well, the DAY calls for getting dressed up too. :) All the ladies look their best. So I put together an outfit too... but as you will see, I have been doing a similar style for the past few posts... should make a difference soon aye? :)))
Princess just wouldn't leave me alone... Seems like she wanted to be in the photo. I think this is a really cute one... we're both posing... unaware of the other :))))
