Long time no outfit post

It seems like such a long time since I did an outfit post. Well, this one is just a 'slight' outfit post. LOL I only have one crooked photo, and it will have to do, because it's the only one.

The hubster wanted to go shops yesterday, so I just wore something loose, comfy, and casual, and here it is...

Jummah mubarak lovelies :)

Turkish women and their Day's

I don't know if this is something specific to Turkish women or if it's practiced by women of other cultures too, but Turkish women have get togethers called "Day".

These days are either once a week/fornight/month. It's a day to get together and dine as well as save money. The women designate an amount, and everyone who wants to participate pays that amount of money every designated DAY. Then they pull names from a hat kinda thing at the beginning ---- before the first installment is paid. So a list of names is formed in accordance with the order the names are pulled.

So on the first get together, the first name invites everyone to her own house on the designated day, and everyone gives their share of the money to the host. Then the next designated day, the same amount of money is given to the second name on the list while she hosts the second get together.

My sis and mum are a part of one of these days. There payment is $200/fortnight. Since they have a lot of women at their day, the collected amount is something a little over $5000. So it's like halal credit... interest free. :))) You get the money on your turn, and pay it off in installments on each day. So yeah, those who are unable to save money, do so in this way. My mum usually uses her share to go on her Turkey holiday every year. Good idea ha? :)

So yeah it was one of those days, and  took mum and attended too as the host was a mutual friend. Well, the DAY calls for getting dressed up too. :) All the ladies look their best. So I put together an outfit too... but as you will see, I have been doing a similar style for the past few posts... should make a difference soon aye? :)))

Princess just wouldn't leave me alone... Seems like she wanted to be in the photo. I think this is a really cute one... we're both posing... unaware of the other :))))

Feels like spring...

The entire week was full of illnesses, viruses, doctors, hospital visits... Oh but alhamdulillah, nothing serious... Went to my final doc visit today... wasn't feeling too well, so I thought I am going to dress up a little. I always think that if I don't look sick,  will feel better too. :)

Anyways, the weather was pretty all week... very much NOT normal for the season. So I popped on my spring-y stuffs maybe for the last time until spring in six months... Oh, my move to Turkey has been postponed for a few more months... or possibly for a longer time... but, this may mean a relocation to another state in Australia. I pray for the best inshaallah...

Ok, I won't babble on any longer as this is an outfit post. There will be further babble posts soon. :))

xoxo

Do you like the touch of red? Or is it a tad too much?

To the max(i)!

Hi dee hoooo :) Has been a while, but been busy with stuffs and nothings... you know how it is.. sometimes you get sooo busy with doing nothings that you can't find it in yourself to do somethings! :)

I've been really into the maxis lately... dresses... cardis... all maxis. :)

So here's another maxi maxi outfit... We went out to din din with mum tonight... no special occasion, but just felt like it. :))) Anyways... I have purchased maxi cardigans and maxi dresses in sooo many colours that I'm loving it. :) Me recommends to all! :) Asos has one of the best range of maxi dresses and cardigans I have ever seen. They also have a large variety of prices and regular sale items. They also have an Asos Curve section on the page that caters for us plus sized women. Awesome I say! Give it a looksie I say! The only thing you might regret is not buying! :) They have FREE shipping... I am broke at the moment, but I look forward to buying moooore and mooooore in the future (dunno how soon that will be though LOL).

Oh and my maxi dresses! I found such a bargain at Glassons a few weeks ago. The one I'm wearing in this post is also from Glassons. I bought like 4 different colours. I bought this camel one and a light grey for $12 (reduced from $60), and a black and navy in the same style for $20 (reduced from $60). I saw some more last week, so if you need/want some, go check out Glassons soon! :)

Heaps of love and kisses to y'all!

Oh yes, I got my nose pierced for the 4th time. I always seem to want to change the nose ring, but I can never get the other nose ring in before the hole closes up. It's been over 5 years since my last one and I had been wanting it for a while. So when I saw a place that does it I didn't think twice about it. Just went in and got it done LOL It's very tiny and not too obvious, which is just the way I like it... What do you think?

Product Review: City Chic Super Longline Cape Cardi

City Chic releases new items every week; in-store on Thursdays and online on Fridays. As soon as I saw the Super Longline Cape Cardi online this Friday, I called a few of the stores to ask them to keep my sze on hold. Only because I knew it would be a great hit and because last Thursday and Friday City Chic had awesome discounts both online and in-store.

Anyhow, the lovely Courtney at the Highpoint store kept one on hold for me. I was soooo excited because such maxi cardis are must haves for every wardrobe! It is a very flattering item for plus size women, while it is a need for hijabi Muslims who do not wear the abayah/coats, but still prefer something long over their garments. I am always on the look out for such cardis. I have found some online a couple weeks ago (that's another post topic), but I was over the moon to find one closer to home!

So I purchased my CC cardi on Friday, and I have been wearing it every day as of Saturday. :))) I practically live in it. It looks gorgeous on a slimline dress (maxi or not) and add a slim belt in a contrasting colour for the finishing touch. It also looks delightful on slimline pants/jeans, but looks just as good over wide legged trousers/jeans too! What I am trying to say is, it is very versatile. I have been achieving a different look every day with the same cardi! I love it! I love it! I love it!

The only downside for some of you would be that the sizes range from 14-24. Oh and another downfall: It has sold out online in every size.Since it was so popular, I'm almost sure they will and SHOULD have it back in stock. :) In more colours too please!!!

Just to give you an idea, I am wearing the XS (14).

My readers from the US can now also order online from City Chic. City Chic launched in the US a few weeks ago and the prices are a lot cheaper than what we pay here! Take a looksie I say. :)

My outfit of the day with the CC Super Longline Cape Cardi:

The only thing I can criticise about the cardigan would be the placement of the side pockets. They are placed at the side seams and just at hip level. Now my hips are now too wide compared to the rest of my body, but the pockets seem to make them look bigger... BUT I don't care, I'm having a love affair with it. :))))

What do you think? More colours yeah? :)))) It is certainly a keeper! :)
