Resipi : Tiramisu

Assalamualaikum

Alhamdulillah hari tu FL Homecoming Brunch Party berjalan seperti yang dirancang. Tengok poyo tak aku? Bukan main custom made lagi nama party aku. Hehe nama je hebat sebenarnya bendanya biasa jer, aku cuma mengajak several close friends untuk makan-makan sempena kepulangan aku ke tanah air heee. Disebabkan aku tak mahu mengganggu waktu solat, jadi aku buat Brunch. Breakfast + Lunch. Dari jam 10 sampai 2 petang. Oh itu nantilah aku cerita dekat entry yang lain. Sekarang aku nak berkongsi resepi Tiramisu.

Sebenarnya memang dari kat Bandung lagi aku dah plan nak buat. Tapi sebab takde mixer, jadi aku tak berbuat-buat.  Ada jiran aku ni nama dia Yasirah dia memang pandai buat Tiramisu ni, siap meniaga tau. Coolest to the top habis. Doctor jual tiramisu di waktu senggang mana nak cari oi? Hehe bravo Yas! Aku pon mintak resepi dari dia, lepas tu aku usha internet sikit untuk dapatkan precise measurement.

 Inilah Tiramisu saya. Ohsem bukan?

Nampak macam beli dekat kedai cake kan? Sebenarnya buat sendiri lebih jimat.

Bahan-bahan
250g cream cheese
250g whipped cream
150g gula
coffee layer cake ( boleh ganti dengan biskut yang dicelup dengan air nescafe)
1/2 paket nescafe or mocha 3in1 (for garnishing purpose)

Cara-cara
Potong & susun coffee layer cake dalam baking tin (1st layer)
Beat cream cheese, whipped cream & gula with hand mixer until creamy
Tuang mixture tadi diatas lapisan cake yang pertama
Susun selapis lagi cake diatas mixture tadi (2nd layer)
Tuang mixture diatas lapisan cake yang kedua
Repeat the step until finish
Taburkan 1/4 or 1/2 paket of nescafe 3in1 for ganish
Simpan dalam fridge overnight

Sebenarnya ia sangat senang dan sedap. Lagipun presentation dia nampak expensive & lavish. Semua family members & close friends suka tau. Sekejap je dah licin. Nanti boleh la korang cuba ye =) Thanks to Yasirah & google for the recipe.

Thank you for reading this entry !

Melaka Trip

Assalamualaikum =)

Kampung aku di Melaka, tapi aku sendiri tak pernah jalan-jalan kat Melaka. Cuma pergi rumah nenek makan asam pedas tengok astro sambil terbongkang dah malam eh balik dulu nenek bye love you ='). Disebabkan begitu, aku tak pernah rasa makan cendol dekat bangunan merah tu, pergi Jonker Walk dan menaiki cruise. Semalam, datin telah membawa aku ke sana. Kitorang pergi berdua je, memang hentam keromo start enjin pilih tol mana yang dekat pung pang pung pang dah sampai banda hilir.

Kami bawa Yumeee juga! Yumee adalah sugar glider peliharaan Datin. Dia sangat comel aku sangat sayang Yumee sampai asek aku je yang pegang dia like 24/7.

 Yumeeee !

Parking dekat-dekat dengan Casa De Rio. RM5 per day.

Anyonyonyo comel la tu tangkap gambar dengan colok =')

Datin kau sebagai promoter tak berbayar Jonker Walk.

 Dah kau kenapa budak -___-'

 The ever famous Stadhuys.

Mama, Yumee & makcik.

Bawak Yumee makan cendol. Yumee dalam pouch dia (purple color)

Cendol pulut. Sedap gila only RM1.70

Tambah nasi lemak sebab lapau. Ape makan cendol je, mane le kenyang (cakap macam orang melake)

Naik beca RM10 pergi Menara Taming Sari. Harga beca boleh bargain ikut budi bicara.

Tapi kalau aku yang kayuh beca tu memang TAK DAPEK DO NAK BARGAIN.

Suka Yumee sebab dapat jalan-jalan. Kakak pon suke hikhik

Lepas tu panas nak mampos kitorang lari masuk dalam Dataran Pahlawan. Beli baju, shawl sikit lepas tu makan Kenny Rogers dengan lahap. Lahap tapi mengantuk. Penatnyeeeeeee kemudian pergi ke Mahkota Parade sebab dia lintas jalan je. Si Datin kau ni nak beli make up. Sebab dia pandai persuade orang maka promoter tu dengan rela hati memberi kami make over secara percuma. Datin yang buat full make over aku tak aku try eyeshadow je, tu pon kaler gelap sebab I kan pemalu.

1# got any problem bro?   2# excited. as always

Ini video kitorang atas beca. Bergegar sampai medula oblongata pon bergegar sekali. Tapi gembira sebab dapat naik beca best giler berangin.

P/s : Teringin nak makan Chicken Rice Ball kat Jonker Walk tapi macam tak halal. Aku suka Melaka sebab harga barang tak mahal. Biasanya tempat yang banyak tourist pergi ni, dia suka bantai harga. Tapi Melaka tidak. Kagum dengan pembangunan Melaka juga.

Turkish women and their Day's

I don't know if this is something specific to Turkish women or if it's practiced by women of other cultures too, but Turkish women have get togethers called "Day".

These days are either once a week/fornight/month. It's a day to get together and dine as well as save money. The women designate an amount, and everyone who wants to participate pays that amount of money every designated DAY. Then they pull names from a hat kinda thing at the beginning ---- before the first installment is paid. So a list of names is formed in accordance with the order the names are pulled.

So on the first get together, the first name invites everyone to her own house on the designated day, and everyone gives their share of the money to the host. Then the next designated day, the same amount of money is given to the second name on the list while she hosts the second get together.

My sis and mum are a part of one of these days. There payment is $200/fortnight. Since they have a lot of women at their day, the collected amount is something a little over $5000. So it's like halal credit... interest free. :))) You get the money on your turn, and pay it off in installments on each day. So yeah, those who are unable to save money, do so in this way. My mum usually uses her share to go on her Turkey holiday every year. Good idea ha? :)

So yeah it was one of those days, and  took mum and attended too as the host was a mutual friend. Well, the DAY calls for getting dressed up too. :) All the ladies look their best. So I put together an outfit too... but as you will see, I have been doing a similar style for the past few posts... should make a difference soon aye? :)))

Princess just wouldn't leave me alone... Seems like she wanted to be in the photo. I think this is a really cute one... we're both posing... unaware of the other :))))

Maxi Cardi: Asos, Orange Jumper Dress: Asos, Jeans: Katies, Black Pumps: Windsor Smith, Hijab: Sarar (from edb Collection), Watch: Guess

She's loving it.... what a poser! :)

We love you Wanita Hari Ini!!

Assalamualaikum and thank youuuuuuuuuu everybody!!! Especially Farah Yasmin, Kak Rina, Kak Fizza, Media Prima's crews and Yus(our official PA :PP)

From my previous posts I have mentioned that Yanny and me were to be interviewed in Malaysia's leading women talk show - Wanita Hari Ini (in English: Today's Women), right? So being us, the first timers to appear LIVE on air was a very big deal for us! Wanna know why I say that?

1) We studied the topic
2) We made mock-scripts to be practiced :P
3) We got our Pastelina items ready in hand!

In all fun and tummy-wrenching moments we had, here are some behind the scene pictures from before, during and after the interview was held.

Posing is a must while we were on the set, alone. haha.

"So Shea..blablabla.."

Oh our dearie skirts, look at where you've brought us! :D

Waiting, and smiling, and waiting, and nervous-ing(??)

"Look Yanny, we'll be appearing in this tube later!"

Practice Practice Practice! :PP

Ok enough la tuuu...

Check it! The crew was helping Yanny to put on her mic

During the show, we were interviewed with the non other than the famous duo, Rizman Ruzaini!! We nearly fainted when we were informed who we were to be interviewed alongside with.. *gulps*

Rizman Ruzaini, you guys really inspire us both! Luv, Shea & Yanny

When everything's over, okayyyy it's time to see how we did! Yus recorded a video of the whole interview session. Thanx Yus! :D

That's all for today! Hihi... But seriously, thank you to all you lovely readers who took the time to actually glue yourselves in front of the tv yesterday. It was such an unforgettable experience, it feels awesome that you guys decided to share the fun with us!

Risau

Assalamualaikum =)

Selama ni kalau aku pergi jalan-jalan kat Bandung takde siapa pon heran dengan aku. Pakai lah pelik macam mana pon, konfem takde sapa approach and say Hi to me. Disebabkan itu aku selalu berkelakuan pelik di public seperti menari-menari sambil berjalan, makan sambil melepet di seat restaurant, dan makan ice cream tumpah lap kat baju. Apa ada hal? No one knows you buddy.

Tapi semalam, sewaktu aku berjalan-jalan di Melaka, ada beberapa girls yang baik hati approached aku. Weyh siryes kat Bandung tak pernah pon orang tegur aku. Aku macam cemas omg what should I say, aku nak nampak baik tak sombong ya know all those good impression tapi at last aku macam awkward tak tau nak cakap apa. Aku macam totally blank. Dayuum loser..

Korang semua sangat comels, sampai I lupa nama korang hehe tapi korang jangan lupa comment entry ni ye hehe!

Thank you for reading this entry !

Cooking programs and some kebab

Those who know me, know I hate cooking with a passion.. and what I hate even more is watching cooking programs. However, thanks to mummy dearest, I get the 'opportunity' to watch it every single day during the week. Oh and some nights there is nothing else for her to watch and so we do a cooking show marathon. My God, I had to put up with 4-5 hours of cooking shows.

So with all the visual 'practice' I friggen wanna cook and eat different stuff now. Not that I can skull down much of it, but yeah... so the question every day is, what different meal do we prepare tonight? We go through our memory of things we saw on the shows and which ones we remembered with ingredients and methods.

See, when you are two people watching the same show, even if you forget something, the other reminds you and vice versa, so yeah you get a perfect meal. :))

Today we made the kebab with and eggplanty dish... We had seen this two nights ago and have been talking about making it since. With this dish, it wasn't the kebab that was stuck on our mind, it was the eggplant dip/salad/dish (dunno what to call it) under the kebab that made us do it.

You know what? It was SO TOTALLY WORTH IT. It turned out to be one of the yummiest meals I ever had.

The eggplant thingy is made up of roasted eggplant all diced up... some garlic, tincy wincy bit of olive oil, salt, lemon, a couple scoops of yoghurt, and a scoop of something called Tahini (Turks and Arabs use it, and it's sold at general super markets such as Woolworths too!). Then we grilled some Adana Kebab with red capsicums, mushroom and onions.. and added some Shepherd's Salad to the side...

Believe me... I haven't tasted anything like it before (I may do a demonstrative video.. shall see) and I strongly recommend. It is a recipe from Chef Omer. If I am not mistaken he won something like a world chef award. Whatever... Even though I may not fully enjoy cooking, I don't mind it as much anymore. :)))

Here is what our meal looked like:
