From wikipedia

Harem pants (also known as Hammer pants and parachute pants) are
baggy pants tapered at the ankle, with side flaps on the hip that button at the waist area. Harem pants, which originated in India, are like a cross between a skirt and a pair of skinny jeans.

The legs, from the knees down, are fitted.
The crotch area is loose and baggy as if it were cut to be a skirt. Traditional harem pants can be extremely large and baggy, with a very wide and full fit, very roomy, loose fitting, oversized, puffy, and spacious, with elastic in waist and at ankles, and with the crotch below the knee almost to the ground.

Some people call harem pants as “an adult diaper” for their loose drop crotch. From Mc Hammer, Aladdin, Princes Jasmine, belly dance costume, call it out. Batwing Sleeves Cardigans - Hijab Scarf

Batwing Sleeves Cardigans - Hijab ScarfBatwing Sleeves Cardigans - Hijab Scarfpictures taken from smvblog.com, lookbook.nu and walmart.comBatwing Sleeves Cardigans - Hijab ScarfCardigans have always been a big help when you are wearing hijab, especially for a new hijaber. This item is useful when we try to mix it with your old short sleeves or t-shirt. My choice goes into a Batwing Sleeves Cardigans. It gives you the slouchy relax and comfortable look at the same time. It’s a big help to use it during hot weather.

The cardigan fits really loosely on the arm. So comfy that you wouldn’t worry about the wet underarm attack. Try to have one of these. Have your tailor made for you.

Hijab and Hair Loss - Hijab Scarf

Hijab and Hair Loss - Hijab Scarf1. Keep your head cold.
I wear nothing under my scarf so it keeps my head cooler than when I use underscarf. But if you do feel more comfortable wearing one makes sure that you don’t wear it too tight.

2. Let them breath.
I have a habit to let my hair free during my lunch time. Just to open my headscarf, brush my hair before I pray. If you are working during day you can always go to the bathroom and have them breath

3. Keep your ponytail loose.
Some of you may have long hair so you have to braid your hair, bun your hair or make a ponytail. Make sure that we use a nice fabric. Rubber or metal fabrics will likely pull your hair out. Cotton knit will be better.

4. Give them some times to dry.
Do not braid or ponytail your hair while it’s still wet. Have some time to let your hair dry. You can use a hair dryer but blow your hair with a gentle blowing one instead the hot one. After you wash it, give your hair some time to breath. Brush your hair with widely spaced comb.

5. Leave them alone.
If you dye or chemically process your hair, or regularly use a curling or straigtening iron or hot curlers, you should stop for the time being. If you don't want to air dry your hair (which would be best), then use a diffuser on your dryer. If you regularly use styling products, you should use a gentle clarifying shampoo every two weeks, which will help remove residue from your hair and scalp. There are also volumizing and maximizing shampoos and conditioners on the market that will help thicken your hair.

6. Switch your hijab style.
If it’s possible, you can change your style that can make your hair loose. For one day let them free without any braids. If it’s not possible, you can clip your hair up instead braids/ponytail your hair.

7. Treat you hair well.
With or without your hair covered, you are obliged to take good care of them. Go to the salon or spa regularly. Let them take good care of your hair. Cream, vitamin and some soft massage will help your hair grow better.

Are you sure your hijab is causing hair loss or is it just an excuse from being lazy of handling your hair care since you cover all your hair while you go. Take good care your hair whether you show it or not. Beside that your husband deserves the best performance of your hair right?

Some says hijab is a great protection for your hair as it never gets exposed to outside elements such as the sun, wind, air, rain, smog and other forms of pollution. In addition, women who wear hijab are much less likely to use excessive amounts of hairspray or to curl their hair regularly, both of which damage the hair and may cause it to break and fall out.

"Do you experience hair loss after wearing hijab? How do you handle it?
Do you take good care your hair as much as before you wear hijab?"

Scarves 101 - Hijab Scarf

The most common fabric for scarf or headscarf or hijab in Indonesia (well I guess big cities like Jakarta Bandung) is what we called Paris cotton. A square fabric that is not too slick so it won’t slip. It is not only so soft but also lightweight so it can easily wrap the head. It is not a see through and comfortable as well.
Scarves 101 - Hijab Scarf
The price is about IDR 15.000 (US$1.50) or if you lucky enough you will get each IDR 12.500.

For hijab beginner, be sure that you have 5 basic colors above. From our experience, these are the most flexible colors that we can play around with our clothes. Once you get addicted to the material you can start adding them to every outfit you have. The paris cotton surprisingly available in different color. Some with motifs and some with gradation dyed color.
Scarves 101 - Hijab ScarfThe price goes around IDR 35.000 (US$ 4.00) until IDR 70.000 (US$ 7.50). The paris cotton also have the one embroidered border. My personal taste, I am not into embroidered border. I don’t know.. I look old wearing those one unless the simple one. The less the better. Don’t forget to buy at (what we called) ITC. It is much cheaper. Don’t go to any big stores. They will rip you off.
Scarves 101 - Hijab ScarfMy other choice goes to cotton (picture bottom). It is a perfect fabric when you go exercising. Its comfy, cozy and absorb sweat. I bought it from Zara kids IDR 150.000 (US$ 15.7). The fabric from regular Zara is too heavy and too big. A branded scarf is more like collectible item but you can also buy the fabrics from a decent fabrics store and adjust the shape.
Scarves 101 - Hijab ScarfOnce it goes together well. Somehow you will know what its like when you just get a comfortable fabric run together really well with your dresses. One leads to another then somehow you are having more colors and motifs and fabrics more than you had expected.
Scarves 101 - Hijab ScarfAfter that you could convince yourself that you had achieved some great ways to made your scarf run together well with all your suits.

Tutorial : Hanna's Hijab Style

Wear your headband at your most comfortable position.

Place your head scarf, one part longer than the other.

Take both sides of the scarf to your back. You can add pin on the back
of your neck to make it more secure. Make sure that your scarf doesnt
go too tight and your comfort is the most important.

Take the longer side of the scarf and round it over your neck. Make
sure that the end of this side reach the back of your head. Take the
corner of the scarf and tuck in it inside the scarf or pin it to make
it more secure. However I personally never pin the scarf and let the
scarf casually wrap my face.

Finish :)
Don't be afraid to try new style of wrapping your head scarf.
