Hug me will you?

A cat is hugging my finger! Awwww...

Went out to SSF today to do a lil bit of knick knacks, laces and beads shopping. This is for my final year project. I am actually designing a candle holder with the theme of marie Antoinette. Her style is oh so feminine and graceful at the same time. I hope I can nail it too.

Btw, eversince in Turkey, I have been nothing but scratching my arms to bits!! I understand that it gets dry in cold places like that, thus the scratching. But now, back at home, it doesn't seem to stop?? Did it somehow triggered my allergies? Ughh. Now I gotta refrain myself from eating poultry and eggs. I think that's my enemy kot..huaa...

Turkey post 3

Sorry yah if I bore you guys with all these vacation stories and pictas... The country is just too breathtaking I wish to share with you guys, tak kira jugak! haha...

-----------ISTANBUL: Spice Market----------
Where Turkish delights, souvenirs, herbs, pashminas, pots and everything are sold here!

Note: The first picture is taken when Friday prayers are happening. The store owner just switched the light off and went off for prayer. How trustworthy of them to their people!

--------------ISTANBUL: Mustafa Kamal Atartuk Museum------------

The man who was responsible for secularizing Turkey. Under his reign, Muslims are not allowed to lead an Islamic way of life. Jubahs, abayas and hijabs are forbidden. No allocated time for prayers when working and so on la.. That's why we see Turkey (Istanbul, especially) nowadays are very modern. I'm not saying Islam doen't allow modernism, but they become a bit westernized that's all.... Whilst there are 98% of Muslims in that country.

We actually couldnt take pictures inside the building. So here are shots taken from outside jelar ek.. This dude is actually marching to switch places with his pal. Too cramped up from standing too long I guess.. haha.. Well, while marching pass me(I was standing right next to him), he winked at me! Is he for real?? I mean, at Buckingham palace, I think the soldiers macam don't even breathe pun.. Yang ni?? haha..

-------------ISTANBUL: Bosphorous Straits Cruise------------

The strait that divides the Europe And Asian part of Turkey.
FYI, 5% of Turkish land are in the Europe, while the other 95% are a part of Asia. Separated by this strait. But connected with a stretch of land and two bridges.
So basically when I was on this cruise, Asia was on my right, and Europe on my left.

Dugaan Allah..saya harus tabah!

Assalamualaikum semua!

Berasa sedih kerana kena kemas sume balik (-_-)
Tapi yang paling sedih bila laptop sudah tiada. Laptop itu dah menjadi sebahagian daripada hidup ni.
Photo, video, data, assignment sume ada dalam tu. Dimana mahu kucari ganti? Huhu

Tapi harus bersyukur kerana sekurang2nya nyawa tidak terancam.
Nasib baik si pencuri datang masa kami bertiga takde di rumah..kalo kami ade kat rumah..
Maunye die tetak leher kitorang..tapi untuk pengetahuan semua, kejadian sebegini dah menjadi lumrah buat kami.
Kami tu refer tu student malaysia di indonesia. Berkali2 hilang laptop, hilang moto, hilang HP.
Tetapi benda ni makin lama makin menjadi2. Sedih tapi tak dapat buat apa-apa.
Ingat lagi dulu ada kawan kena pukau dalam public transport. Tu lagi takut sebenarnya.

Banyak pula bala yang menimpa sejak akhir2 ni. Mungkin dugaan atau mungkin juga balasan.
Tapi saya percaya, things happen for reason. Ada sebab kenapa Allah duga kami begini.
Sesungguhnya kita kena redha dan ambil iktibar.kawan kawan saya mintak tolong doakan
Keselamatan kami bertiga disini. Takut pencuri tu aim kami lagi sbb tau kami duduk bertiga dan semua pompuan pulak tu.

Oh ya brg2 yang diambil seperti 2 laptop, 1 external hard disk, 1 digital camera, 1 sony psp, cincin emas, handphone Nokia dan cash RM.
Jumlah kerugian rm7k ataw rp 21juta. Memang sentap.

Sebab saya online kai blackberry.
Xboleh nak bagi fashion tips :( sbb xleh nk upload gmbar. Bencinye bencinye!
Nyway teruskan membaca blog saye! sila bgi sokongan kepada saya sebab saya tengah mengalami depresi mental yang agak hebat.
Thanks lov u all.

Turkey post 2

Alhmadulillah...I am fully recovered! Yay! With a pinch of husky voiced, I drove this morning headed back to my uni.. alone.. for 4 hours... weehuu!! Achievement I must say...

Anyhoooo, let's continue with my vacation trip stories yahhh...heee...

-------------CAPPADOCIA: Flinstones land-----------
These are actually houses! Lived by the former people in turkey... This is actually made up of ashes of volcano eruptions when happen back then. The wind blows these ashes thus piling them up. They are strong, yet soft enough for the people to dig up holes to live in em. Unique eh?
As for now, they turn them into restaurants and hotels, attracting tourists from all over the world.. If I'm not mistaken, they are called the Grand Canyon of Turkey too... Try googling Grand Canyon, Arizona, USA.. It looks something like this too :)

-----------CAPPADOCIA: Turkey handmade carpets---------

Ha... you've been to jalan TAR right? lotsa shops selling Pakistan carpets la, India carpets la, yadda3... FYI, the best carpets in the world are actually made from Turkey! They use somewhat double-knot stitching rather than other countries which uses only a single-knot stitching. Double knots are supposed to be tougher I guess.. Plus some carpets are even made of silk! Imagine how fine it is?

Follow the flow of the pics yah :)

1. Silk caterpillar cocoons being boiled...erkkk~

2. Raw silk threads

3. Lady making a carpet(by hand!!)..It takes her min of one year per carpet..

4. Introductions to finished carpets..

5. Buying time! My dad bought the silk carpet in maroon on the right. So silky shiny right? Guess the *ehem* price...

-----------CAPPADOCIA: Pottery village----------

The people in this village usually relies on pottery making for living. Boys are taught to make pots since little so that when they get older, they can get married. It is somehow like their ticket to marriage la.. Yikes-a-beee... This porcelain/pots making factory is situated underground/inside a cave. This is to get the constant temperature upon drying the pots.. After that, the artisans, uses their creativitity in adding the final touches on the end products..

Turkey post 1

Salam and hola dearies!
I have been such a bad blogger.. This is because I just got down with the flu right the moment we were heading back home! Anyway, I feel like puking too. Not because of my flu and all, but because of the around 4k piccas that me and my sis have captured during our trip to Turkey! Ya Allah.. how am I to resize and select the images while my nose all so stuffy? Aduhhh.. Well, I'll try my best here k.. I won't post a day by day post of my trip too. Why? cause my trip went on for 10 days. So I don't wanna feel stressed out with the amount of posts that I have in debt. hehe...

So yeah, the trip I had with my family was just SUPER! Thank youuuuu so much bapak for making this happen for me.. It was a valuable life experience for me, personally. I mean to get out and see the world of course. As ya'll know, Turkey is a very old country therefore I get to see lotsa interesting places which were like aged 14 to 15 centuries tau.. Imagine all the architecture, history and lifestyle that took into place at that time..

The weather was nice too. For a winter weather of course. I managed to keep my cool there which something that I did not expect! We ate a lot of veges too. The Turks especially eats lots and lots of vegetables(olives, tomatoes, green veges etc) and also cheese! No wonder their skin is sooooo flawless!

Do enjoy the pictures below as I am not in the liberty actually to explain one by one.. Just to let myself remember the places and let you guys see what I've seen :)

------------PAMUKKALE: Cotton Castle-------------

Natural hot water pool with lotsa calcium formation when water dries up by the cold weather. We were up on a mountain..
